“ This was discovered upon chance while parked up over night, looking for a local brew, I found on Google maps this place , the salty dog. At first I thought was a place for dogs and dogs treats, glad I walked down now as the young lady was sociable and chatty and the guy served a brilliant bacon sausage sandwich abd a lovely coffee , definitely pip down there again when im in the area, as I live in Leeds. Brilliant wounderfull view to enjoy while sat on the lovely clean bench. ”
“ Clifftop cafe in cayton bay. Halfway down steep path to beach. Small but beautiful. Outdoor seating only. Huge range of breakfast and lunch items. A welcome site being just off the Cleveland Way. Beautiful beach and great views just below ”
“ Popped by this cafe for a coffee and a bacon sandwich in the morning. The two ladies running it are so friendly and run a great business. It's nice to have a coffee in a proper mug! Loads of seating, and water for dogs. There are a few beach items like windbreaks and buckets for sale. Toilets are right next door, very clean and tidy. ”
“ Just had a smashed burger. One of the best burgers I've had. Home made, fresh ingredients and just delicious! Highly recommend! ”
“ Decided to bring the dogs on the beach here, for the very first time, and noticed The Salty Dog. Gave them a good run all along the beach, before heading for a drink. Love that the hot drinks were served in actual cups (of course, if sitting on one of the benches or tables provided!) The hot chocolate was brill, as was the tea. We thought we'd have an ice cream too while here and really enjoyed the creaminess of it. We went with two ice cream sundaes and, although they were 7 each, they were well worth it and you got a lot of topping (even had some Oreo hiding at the bottom!) There seems to be quite a few things available, from ice cream to burgers and a variety of delicious-looking cakes too. There's also your usual hot and cold drinks, along with milkshakes made with real ice cream and more. So if ever you're visiting Cayton Bay Beach, be sure not to miss a drink and a treat at The Salty Dog! ”
